Job Description of Stockroom Associate:

Efficient warehouse operations at FedEx require the Stockroom Associate to handle the movement, storage, and dispatch of goods. This responsible role involves tasks such as loading and unloading shipments, sorting packages, accurate documentation, and storage. A successful execution of the duties leads to enabling timely deliveries.

Key Responsibilities of Stockroom Associate:

• Ensure the warehouse is clean, organized, and free of safety hazards.
• Assist with the coordination of shipping and receiving activities.
• Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to organizational standards.
• Prepare packages for shipment by labeling, sealing, and securing them.
• Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks and hand trucks.
• Perform inventory checks and maintain accurate records of incoming and outgoing shipments

Qualifications of Stockroom Associate:

• The completion of high school or an equivalent program is an essential stepping stone towards having a brighter future.
• Ability to bear and transport loads up to 50 lbs in heaviness.
• Maintaining high accuracy by paying close attention to details.
• A familiarity with computers and a sound grip on warehouse management systems is required for this position.
• Skills in managing work under time pressure are highly desirable.
• Possessing exceptional organizational and time-management skills.
